Birch Series Slaptop Cajon
This Slaptop Cajon design brings elements of both the Deuno and the Snare cajon together, making a very versitile cajon instrument. The "shell" of the cajon is constructed from the highest quality 1" thick Baltic Birch Ply available. It features two 1/8" baltic playing surface that are glued on at the bottom of the drum and screwed to the top. This allows for very crisp snare and slap tones while preserving much of the resonance of the DeUno cajon, making it a great flamenco cajon. One tapa has 4 non-adjustable snares providing a great cajon snare sound, while the other has no snares for a natural wood sound. The semi-gloss finish is hand rubbed to keep it as thin as possible to preserve the tone of the cajon while still protecting it. The cajon has 4 steel reinforced rubber feet for a stable and nonslip surface. It also has an upholstered vinyl seat and rounded corners.

When looking for a cajon, I must have played 30 or more at music stores. I just couldn't find what I was looking for. After seeing that Kopf has a money back guarantee....I figured if I didn't like it I could just send it back. Well I won't be sending it back. There really is no comparison between this cajon and the others that I tried. Everything from the construction to the sound of it is just superior. I hope they start building congas too!

I got this cajon as a gift for my brother but ended up getting one for me as well. It has a great bottom end bass that sort of rings out but not too long. The corners produce a very nice slap and the snares are bright but not overbearing. The craftsmanship is great and I think that the way this drum is built will make it very durable. Kopf has my endorsement for sure.

Worth way more than the price may lead one to believe. This cajon is definately a professionals instrument. I has great projection with plenty of bass tone. The slap and snare is outstanding as well. Love the seat too!

Purchased this drum from Kopf Percussion as a birthday gift to myself. I had been looking around for a cajon for about 3 months. I pulled the trigger on this cajon based on the reviews and watching videos online. I love this drum. It has a nice tone and the bass is huge. I get complements from the band all time

I saw a Kopf in action at a live show. I really like the big boomy bass that the slaptop has. I kind of wish I had bought the S-series version though for the seat.

I looked at many cajons at GuitarCenter and online. I found this cajon while I was on vacation at a very small drum store. After playing it, there was no arguing that it was better built and sounded great. After taking it home, i did a little research on Kopf and found that they are known for very high quality cajon drums. Glad I found them.

I bought this cajon for my daughter. I read all the reviews and even looked at few at our local music store. But I put my faith in the reviews. Long story short, she loves it. Really great drum for the money. They could probably get 100 bucks more for it.
