The "shell" is made from the highest quality 1/2" Baltic Brich plywood available. This wooden bongo has 2 differently pitched chambers. The 1/8" Baltic Birch playing surface is attached with black oxide coated screws allowing for adjustments. There is a non-adjustable snare installed in the drum to produce a sizzle effect. The semi-gloss finish is hand rubbed to protect the drum while allowing the tone to shine.

I have been playing percussion for a few years now and when I saw this instrument, I thought "how interesting". It's a bongo, but its a cajon. Really cool sounding. I can't wait to try it out on a gig with the band. I think it will work really well on acoustic sets.
