My name is Steve Head and I am the owner of Kopf Percussion. I welcome you to my shop. I am located in Waresboro, Georgia on a rural 50 acres that has been in my family for 4 generations.  I opened my shop back in March of 2008 with a simple business philosophy, "Handcrafting the highest quality instruments that I possibly could." Then, backing them up with worldclass personal customer service. Over the years I have had the pleasure of building thousands of instruments for people from all over the world. It is my hope, they would say that their "old fashioned" customer experience with Kopf Percussion was uniquely refreshing.

Someone once told me that quality and craftsmanship were just relics from the past. But the truth is you can still find them if you know where to look. I have always been facinated with the craftsmen of yesteryear. They seemed to take a level of pride in their work that is largely lacking in todays world. I admire their determination and how they used natural materials to create what they needed. I love the functionality of their work and how durable it was. I am proud to say that I am an "old soul" when it comes to my own craft. I consider every instrument that I build to be a personal endeaver of whoms quality speaks volumes as to who I am as an artisan and a man. I don't produce products. I create creations. There are no factories or assembly lines at Kopf Percussion. Everything with the Kopf logo on it is handcrafted right here by me in a small shop that I built myself located on 50 rural acres that has been in my family for 4 generations. I read a quote one time that said "A man that works with his hands is called a Laborer. A man that works with his hands skillfully is called a Craftsman. A man that works with his skillfully with his hands from his heart is called an Artisan. I take the time to pour my heart and soul into every instrument that I build and that is what makes the difference. I hope that my work not only leaves my customers satisfied that they decided to own one of my instruments, but that it inspires them to be creative and chase their own dreams. I welcome you to my shop and to Kopf Percussion and encourage you to take a look around and if you have any questions or comments, please reach out to me. I would love to hear from you!
